EasyJet has secured a firm order for 157 A320neo family aircraft. The order consists of:

  • 56 A320neo aircraft
  • 101 A321neo aircraft

The order highlights the company's fleet renewal program and upsizing of aircraft plans. EasyJet also believe the order will bring significant sustainability improvements through improved fuel efficiency and decreased environmental impact. The CEO Johan Lundgren believes the order will be a 'core component of our net zero roadmap' and that 'EasyJet will be able to continue to cement its leading position at Europe's primary airports.  Airbus CCO - Christian Scherer is delighted with the agreement and firmly believes its state-of-the-art aircraft will over far superior modernisation and comfort. The neo family aircraft are also SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) capable and both Airbus & EasyJet are aiming for the aircraft to be 100% SAF capable by 2030.

The A320neo family aircraft continues to cement itself as a dominant force in the single-aisle market; winning over 18,000 orders from approximately 140 customers. Furthermore, with the A321neo XLR expected to be certified and flying in 2024, Airbus is now able to offer unparalleled range and efficiency in the single aisle, long haul market.
